Retired U.S. Army Colonel Peter Mansoor will speak on the rise of the Islamic State, the threat it poses to the Middle East and the global community, and the campaign to destroy the organization. Dr. Peter Mansoor, Colonel, U.S. Army (Retired), is the General Raymond E. Mason Jr. Chair of Military History at The Ohio State University and a military analyst for CNN. He is the author of Surge: My Journey with General David Petraeus and the Remaking of the Iraq War, a history of the Iraq War focusing on the surge of 2007-2008.
