Job Title: Part-Time Custodian

Hours: 8 hours/week

Pay: $13.00/hour

Summary:

The Dover Public Library is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Part-Time Custodian. Must be able to work Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00-10:00 PM, as well occasional weekends. Must be flexible with scheduling.


Duties include general cleaning duties, basic facility and grounds maintenance, ordering of supplies, etc.

Job Title: Part-Time Outreach Assistant

Hours: 15 hours/week

Pay: $13.00/hour

Summary: The Dover Public Library is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Part-Time Outreach Assistant. This position will support our library’s Books on Wheels program, which provides library materials and resources to homebound residents and residents in local care facilities.

Duties: Includes completing check-in and check-out procedures for books and other materials, reserving materials for patrons, shelving materials, completing library card applications, and delivering materials.

Requirements: High school diploma required. Highly organized with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to bend, stop, lift book bags, and push book carts. Computer knowledge and skills are essential, including the use of the Internet, word processing, and basic spreadsheets. Must have excellent customer service skills and be willing to work as a team with other library staff in all areas of the library. Appropriate work experience preferred.
