Get ready for the Year of the Monkey!

The Monkey is one of the 12 animals in the Chinese Zodiac. Each year is assigned an animal based on a 12-year cycle. If you were born in 1920, 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992 or 2004, your Chinese Zodiac sign is the Monkey. People born in 2016 will also be “Monkeys.”

Chinese New Year has many traditions including lucky colors, lucky numbers, and special gifts. We’ll be exploring some of these traditions at this teen-suggested event by playing games, creating crafts, and, of course, eating food.

This event is open to teens in grades 6-12. Call the library at 330-343-6123 to register or for more information.

Special thanks to Maggie for the event idea!
