Drive-Thru Shred Event to Benefit One Book, One Community

The Tuscarawas County Literacy Coalition will host a Spring Cleaning Shred Event with Go Shred Secure Document Destruction on Saturday, May 18th from 11:30AM-1:30PM in the parking lot of the Tuscarawas County Public Library in New Philadelphia. There is no charge for the event; however free-will donations, to benefit Tuscarawas County’s One Book, One Community project, are encouraged and will be accepted during  the rain or shine event. 
 
The One Book, One Community project is a collaborative effort of the county’s libraries, schools, community partners, Kent State  Tuscarawas, and the Tuscarawas County Literacy Coalition. The project’s purpose is to bring the community together with the shared experience of reading the same book. 
 
In its sixth year, the 2013 One Book, One Community project features “The Prize Winner of Defiance Ohio: How My Mother Raised 10 Kids on 25 Words or Less” by Terry Ryan. Book discussions, contests, and special events are being planned for September and October 2013.
