September 10, October 8, November 12, and December 10 at 3:00 PM in the Community Room.
The YA Crew is a group of local teens who gain leadership experience and community service hours by helping the library better serve the teen community. Members help plan events, offer input for the teen collection, volunteer at Children's programs, and give their opinions on teen-related issues. Snacks are always provided, and new members are always welcome. Feel free to contact Teen Librarian Liz Strauss (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information on becoming a full member of the YA Crew. Open to teens in grades 6-12 (ages 12-18).
Meetings this Fall:
September 10 - Open Game Day - Join the Crew for board and group games and learn what it takes to become a full or part time member of the YA Crew.
October 8 - Haunted Library Planning - The Haunted Library is an event invented by the YA Crew for children ages 7-12. At the October meeting, we will be going over details concerning games, snacks, decorations, and more, for the event to be held October 26. If you are interested in volunteering for this spooky, fun event, but can't make the meeting, email Liz at email@example.com.
November 12 - Help the Crew plan events for the Spring and beyond! If you have an idea for an awesome teen program, this is the meeting you don't want to miss!
December 10 - Join the Crew in making Origami ornaments out of discarded books. This meeting is open to members and non-members alike. Have some fun with us as we head into the holiday season!
