The Masks We Wear (Grades K-5 with an adult)

Saturday September 30 at 2:00 p.m.

Caregivers will create a mask of their child’s face using plaster of Paris gauze strips. Seth Horne, who has Apert Syndrome (similar to what Auggie has), and his mother, Stacy, will be here to participate in a discussion on how we sometimes put on “masks” to cover how we truly feel, like Auggie did when he wore his helmet, and to share their personal experiences. This project is sponsored by an LSTA Grant through the State Library of Ohio.
