Maker Lounge

Welcome to the Maker Lounge, sponsored by the Romich Foundation.

The Dover Public Library seeks to provide a safe environment for exploration and creativity inside the Maker Lounge. Each piece of equipment has its own Standard Operating Procedure to be followed each time the item is used. Before using any equipment, please see a staff member for assistance. Leave the Maker Lounge how you left it – or better!

General Guidelines:

  • Makers under 18 must have an adult in the vicinity while using equipment. (In the Maker Lounge or the Teen Room)
  • Makers will be careful not to crowd the Maker Lounge. We suggest a maximum of 5 Makers in the space at a time.
  • Makers will not use any equipment they have not been trained to use. If Makers have any questions, they will ask staff for assistance.
  • Makers will clean up after themselves and put all tools back where they found them.
  • Makers will turn off all equipment before leaving

Guidelines are subject to change as needed. Please see a staff member for the latest updated procedures.
