The 6th Annual Overdue Open House

Love Your Library Sunday, February 14 from 2:00 – 5:00 PM

Come celebrate St. Valentine’s Day with us at our annual Open House! Check out the bake sale, listen to live music, and enjoy family entertainment throughout the afternoon! Kids can have their faces painted, listen to fun storytimes from Cheryl Eichel and our Children’s Librarians, see a Magician, and meet costumed characters. Return your overdue materials on Sunday, and we’ll waive your overdue fines for the items. There will also be lots of raffle prizes to check out, a voter registration table, and much, much more! T-County Patriots LogoCome visit the library booth and all the other awesome displays at the 6th Annual T-County History Patriot Rally! Explore museums and play games. Interact with living historians, reenactors, and costumed characters. Complete the scavenger hunt for a chance to win awesome prizes like an iPad or a Kindle. The first 500 kids will receive a goodie-stuffed drawstring backpack! This event is completely FREE! No registration necessary. Visit the Patriots online through their Facebook page. Folklore Around the World: A Multicultural Story Hour!

For Children Pre-K through 5th Grade and Parents

Hear stories from Native American, African, and Hispanic Cultures performed by the Teen Department! Each child will receive a free book and a special gift. Refreshments will also be served. Call the Library at 330-343-6123 to Register or for more information.

All September, teens have been working on performances based on folklore from different cultures. Snakes, bullies, talking rocks, and more are featured in these special stories that teach us where stories came from, how to treat those who are different, and to be careful about the choices we make in life. Don’t miss these exciting stories!
