The Dover Public Library’s Technology Center is conveniently located in the Adult Department close to the Front Desk so that our staff can assist you with any technology questions.
In the Technology Center you can:
- Use one of 11 computers to browse the web, check email, and use Microsoft Office tools
- Make black and white copies or prints for $0.15 a side
- Make color copies or prints for $0.25 a side
- Fax documents for $1.00 per fax
- Scan documents to a flash drive or email for free
- Get a Library flash drive for a $5 donation
- Staple, hole punch, and cut paper to size at the Finishing Station

Technology Checkout Policies:
The Library is not responsible for any liability, damages or expense resulting from the use or misuse of these devices, connection of the devices to other electronic devices, or data loss resulting from the use of the devices.
Any use of the devices for illegal purposes, unauthorized copying of copyright-protected material in any format, or transmission of threatening, harassing, defamatory or obscene materials is strictly prohibited.
Patrons are responsible for costs associated with lost or damaged technology equipment, including hotspot devices, hotspots tablets, Chromebooks, cases and chargers.
- Tech devices may be borrowed by Dover Public Library card holders ages 18 and above with library cards in good standing.
- Checkout is limited to one tech type per household at any given time.
- Tech devices may be borrowed for two weeks.
- Tech devices can be placed on hold and must be picked up within 3 days of notification of availability or the item will go to the next person on hold.
- Tech devices must be returned in person and never in the book drop.
- The tech device will not be considered returned until all components of the device are returned.
- Overdue tech devices will be deactivated within 48 hours of the due date.
- Overdue fines will accrue at $.10 per day up to the maximum replacement cost of the device.
- Hotspot device replacement fee: $80
- Chromebook device replacement fee: $412
- Tab A device replacement fee: $55
- Charger cord replacement: $10
- Case replacement: $20
- Tech devices must be kept in a temperature-controlled environment (not left in vehicles or in extreme temperatures.)
- Hotspots only function in the United States and where a T-Mobile signal is available.
- Internet service relies on cell tower technology and coverage, user experience can vary based on location.
